10/28/2011 -Appreciating GRACE Students: Our Joy and Crown

Attention Students! You are invited to participate in a day where we will love on our students. You are invited to enjoy food, refreshments, entertainment and a chance to win a few prizes as well! Plan on joining us at one of the Student Appreciation Events listed below:

  • Houston-Southwest campus: Tuesday, November 8th from 6-7pm
  • Beaumont-Antioch Missionary Baptist Church: Thursday, November 10th from 6-7pm


    Also, beginning the week of October 31st, we will bless our students with snacks at each classroom location.

  • 07/1/2011 - Student Orientation

    The first Student Orientation will commence this August, 2011. This will be a time of getting to know one another and great fun as we welcome students into the fold of GRACE. New students are required to attend, current students are highly encouraged to attend. Students can choose to attend one of the three orientations hosted at different locations the evenings of:
    - August 9- The Woodlands-
    - August 11- Beaumont Campus
    -August 16- Main Campus-Southwest Houston

    06/16/2011 - Golden Triangle Pastor's Luncheon

    Golden Triangle (Southeast TX) Pastor's Luncheon: Thursday, June 16th 11am-2pm. Area pastors and church/ministry leaders are invited to attend this special lunch even to learn more about GRACE and how we are committed to invest in the spiritual growth of Southeast Texas.     05/26/2011 - Inaugural Graduation Ceremony

    Join us for our Inaugural Graduation Ceremony at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 26, 2011, at the Lanier Theological Library, 14130 Hargrave, Houston, Texas 77070. This will be a joyous and worshipful celebration as we award graduate degrees to our seminary's first masters degree program graduates and also award certificates to several certificate program graduates. We will have a short ceremony followed by a fun celebration and fellowship that you don't want to miss. Come celebrate with us! RSVP now!

    BI 570 - Life of Christ

    3 Credit Hours
    Price: $160.00 (3 Credit Hours = $150 enrichment tuition plus $10 copy fee)

    Description: This course is a chronological study of the ministry, teachings, and person of Jesus Christ. The life of Christ will be examined in its historical setting. The theological truths seen in Christ's ministry and message will be applied in the lives of believers' in today's culture.

    BI 803 - Daniel & Revelation 3 Credit Hours
    Price: $160.00 (3 Credit Hours = $150 enrichment tuition plus $10 copy fee)

    Description: The major themes of God's prophetic program are traced through Daniel with an emphasis on their relationship to the Book of Revelation. Methods of interpretation, problem passages, and fulfillment of the biblical covenants in the coming Messianic Kingdom will be examined. Personal application will be emphasized in light of the return of Jesus.

    BL 601 - Greek I 3 Credit Hours
    Price: $160.00 (3 Credit Hours = $150 enrichment tuition plus $10 copy fee)

    Description: To acquaint the beginning student with the fundamentals of Koine Greek so that you will possess a basic vocabulary of Greek words, an understanding of the fundamentals of Greek grammar, a working acquaintance with the Greek text of the New Testament, a knowledge of Greek language reference tools, and experience in translating from the New Testament.

    This is PART I of a two-part course. This course is a prerequisite for Greek II, the second part of this two-part course.

    TH 505 - Introduction to Systematic Theology 3 Credit Hours

    Description: This is the introductory course in the list of required courses in Systematic Theology. It covers the study of prolegomena (the nature, method, and sources of theology), and bibliology (the doctrines of revelation, inspiration, inerrancy, illumination, and theological hermeneutics).

    Description: A study of Christian doctrines concerning prophecy and the end times.

    TH 508 - Bible Study Methods 3 Credit Hours
    Price: $160.00 (3 Credit Hours = $150 enrichment tuition plus $10 copy fee)

    Description: A directed study of the principles of the literal-grammatical-historical (L-G-H) system of biblical interpretation, with guided practice in using those principles in interpreting representative passages. The purpose of the course is to provide students with the basic skills they will need for accurate interpretation of biblical passages for their lifelong personal and professional ministries. This course is also known as "hermeneutics." BSNT 502 - New Testament Survey 3 Credit Hours

    Description: A study of the books of the New Testament. This course provides an overview of the New Testament, including an emphasis on the distinctive message, the historical setting, and theological contribution of each book. Geographical and archaeological support for each book is also considered.

    BSNT 503 - The Gospel of John 3 Credit Hours

    Description: A detailed study of John's Gospel which emphasizes the deity of Christ, and salvation by faith alone in Christ alone. Special attention is given to the book's structure. Practical application will be included.

    BSNT 603 - The Life of Christ 3 Credit Hours

    Description: A detailed study in the life of Christ. The chronological and geographical aspects of the Lord's ministry will be stressed as He offers the Kingdom to Israel with its subsequent rejection. A term project tracing the geographical and chronological movement is required.

    Description: Dispensationalism: An introduction to and exposition of the dispensational system of Bible interpretation will be made. Contrasts will be drawn with covenant theology and ultradispensationalism. Special attention will be given to current refinements of the system among progressive dispensationalist.

    Eschatology: An analysis of the biblical teaching concerning last things, including a discussion of the coming of Christ from a premillennial perspective. The students will be given a comprehensive outline of the future events of God's prophetic program. The major millennial views will be presented along with various views relating to the rapture. Attention will be given to the unconditional covenants of the Old Testament
