Dr. Dave Anderson

President & Professor of Systematic Theology and Biblical Languages

Dr. Anderson and his wife, Betty, have pastored in the Houston area for thirty years and have helped to plant eight churches. Dr. Anderson served as the Senior Pastor at Faith Bible Church in The Woodlands, Texas for eighteen years. During that time he also served as an Adjunct Professor for Dallas Theological Seminary, teaching in three different departments (Greek New Testament, Bible Exposition, and Theology). He has been an Adjunct Professor for Jordan Evangelical Theological Seminary and taught graduate courses in several other foreign countries. Dr. Anderson is the founder and president of the Greater Houston Bible Church Association, which is a cooperative effort of churches in the association to reach Greater Houston with the gospel. Dr. Anderson is also one of the founders of the Free Grace Alliance and the Fellowship of Free Grace Churches International, and he serves on the board of directors of the latter. Dr. Anderson teaches in the areas of theology and Biblical languages. He is the author of Maximum Joy, an exposition of 1 John, and Free Grace Soteriology.

Dr. Anthony B. Badger

Dr. Badger currently serves as the Executive Director of the Fellowship of Free Grace Churches International. Dr. Badger has more than 10 years of experience as a senior pastor in pulpits in Texas, Washington, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and New York. Dr. Badger also has been teaching the Bible for over 30 years at Bible Colleges across the country. He has also authored several articles for the Journal of the Grace Evangelical Society and Bible Expositor and Illuminator. Dr. Badger is a member of the Evangelical Theological Society, Grace Evangelical Society, and a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. Dr. Badger is married and has two daughters.

Dr. Charlie Bing

Dr. Charlie Bing is the Founder & Director of GraceLife Ministries in Burleson, Texas. He pastored Burleson Bible Church in Texas for 19 years before transitioning to GraceLife full-time in 2005. He has served as Adjunct Professor of Biblical Studies for LeTourneau University since 1992 and is a former President of the Free Grace Alliance. He is active as a speaker for churches and conferences in the United States and abroad and has published a number of books and articles on the gospel, salvation, evangelism, and discipleship

Glenn W. Campbell

Glenn W. Campbell planted and pastored Stephenville Bible Church and has served as a corporate chaplain. He has taught Philosophy, Religion, Bible, Greek and Mathematics in seven colleges and universities in the North Texas Region: Tarleton State University, The University of Dallas, The University of North Texas, Texas Woman's University, Our Lady of the Lake University, Argosy University, and Brookhaven College in the Dallas County Community College District. He has authored philosophy texts covering Ethics and Metaphysics in all four (Ancient, Medieval, Modern and Contemporary) eras of world history, as well as numerous professional leadership training manuals for corporations and businesses. He is the author of Ephesians - Paul's Conclusive Treatise: A New Extended Interpretive and Expositional Translation, published in 2005.

Dr. Paul Cannings

Dr. Paul Cannings is the Senior Pastor of Living Word Fellowship Church in Houston, Texas. He is the president of Power Walk Ministries, president of Living Word Christian Academy and adjunct professor of the College of Biblical Studies all in Houston. He has served as youth director at Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship Church, Assistant Academic Dean of Dallas Bible College in Dallas, Executive Vice President of College of Biblical Studies, and the National Director of Outreach at The Urban Alternative and City Director for The Urban Alternative - Houston Branch. He can be heard locally in Houston on KHCB 105.7 FM, where he serves as a Bible study leader and host of "The Pastor's Corner." He has published titles as Why Can't Mondays Be More Like Sundays? and Biblical Answers for the 21st Century Church.

Dr. Fred Chay

Dr. Fred Chay is the Director of Doctor of Ministry Studies and associate Professor of Theology at Pheonix Seminary in Pheonix, Arizona. He is the founder and president of GraceLine Ministries. Before joining the faculty of Phoenix Seminary, he pastored for nearly ten years and served as Western Director for the Christian Medical Society, writing, teaching and speaking on issues of medical ethics and spiritual formation. He is the author of The Faith that Saves: The Nature of Faith in the New Testament.

Tom Eckman

Tom Eckman is the Academic Dean of the Bible College Division and Professor of Greek & Biblical Studies of Free Grace Seminary in McDonough, Georgia. He is an active member of the Free Grace Alliance.

Dr. Michael D. Halsey

Dr. Michael Halsey is senior pastor of County Line Congregational Christian Church in Hampton, Georgia, and he is co-founder and president president of Free Grace Seminary. He is a prolific writer of devotional and inspirational articles and received the First Place Award by the National Association of Congregational Christian Churches for the 1998 Newsletter Contest in the "Pastor's Message" category for his article entitled The God With No Kodak. Dr. Halsey is also an active member of the Free Grace Alliance.

Dr. S. Mark Haywood

Pastor S. Mark Haywood is the Pastor and Founder of God's Household of Faith in Houston, Texas. He also serves as the President of The Institute for Theological Studies (ITS) and as a Trustee for Denver Seminary, was a finalist for the preaching award at Dallas Theological Seminary, received the 2003 Apostle Paul Award for faithful service to God and His people, and was honored as the Father of the Year for 2004. He previously served as Vice President of Student Affairs and Services, Dean of Students, and Assistant Professor at the College of Biblical Studies (CBS) in Houston. Additionally, Pastor Haywood can be regularly heard on Houston's KHCB FM Radio and seen on the "Up with the Son" television program shown on Channel 14 in the early morning. Pastor Haywood is married and has three sons and one daughter.

Dr. J. B. Hixson

Dr. J. B. Hixson is the Senior Pastor of Brenham Bible Church in Brenham. He also serves as the VP of Academic Affairs and Academic Dean for Grace School of Theology in The Woodlands, TX where he teaches Theology and Bible Exposition courses. He has served as a past Executive Director of the Free Grace Alliance, an evangelistic training and Bible conference ministry. He earned his B.A. degree from Houston Baptist University, Th.M. degree from Dallas Theological Seminary, and Ph.D. degree from Baptist Bible Seminary. Dr. Hixson has been involved in vocational church ministry since 1987 including five pastorates in Texas and Illinois and he served as guest-faculty at the Bryansk Bible Institute in Bryansk, Russia. He serves on the Council of Dispensational Hermeneutics and is the author of the book, Getting the Gospel Wrong: The Evangelical Crisis No One Is Talking About. J. Dr. Ed Hoard

Dr. Hoard has more than 35 years experience in growing dynamic churches. He was senior associate pastor at the 5,000 member First Baptist Church in Jonesboro, Georgia and was senior pastor at the 2,000 member Second Baptist Church in Griffin, Georgia. Dr. Hoard is Vice-President and Dean of the Bible College at Free Grace Seminary. His love and gifting are taking difficult biblical concepts and explaining them in a simple and understandable manner. He leads yearly tours to Australia and the Holy Land. Dr. Hoard is the founding pastor of Eagle's Brooke Community Church in Locust Grove, Georgia. He has been a featured presenter at the North Queensland College of Ministry in Queensland, Australia and at numerous evangelism conferences throughout the US including New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

Dr. Israel Loken

Dr. Israel Loken graduated from Lancaster Christian School in 1986, and from Lancaster Bible College in 1990. He started and led a college-age Bible study group in his home church. Soon after, He decided to go to Dallas Theological Seminary. He worked his way through the program by teaching at Dallas Christian College and by serving as a Teaching Assistant for the Bible Exposition department at DTS. In 2000, College of Biblical Studies asked him to move to Houston and help start their Bachelor's degree program. Dr. Loken has been a full-time professor at CBS ever since, and is currently the Department Chair for both Bible and Theology. He has published the Loken Exposition Commentary series and has published three volumes to date. He is also writing a series of introductions on the various segments of the Bible (i.e., Pentateuch, History, Poetry, Prophecy, etc.).

Dr. Chris Moody

Dr. Moody is the lead pastor of First Baptist Church of Beaumont, Texas and serves as Assistant Professor of Systematic Theology for the Distance Learning Program of Liberty Theological Seminary in addition to his role with Grace School of Theology. He previously served at Grace Community Church for six years in Corsicana, Texas. He earned a B.A. in Biology from Texas A&M University, Th.M. in Pastoral Leadership from Dallas Theological Seminary, and a Ph.D. in Systematic Theology from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, TX. He and his wife, Wendi, reside in Beaumont with their three young girls, Whitney, Trinity and Audrey.

Dr. Larry Moyer

Dr. Larry Moyer is the Founder , President & CEO of EvanTell in Dallas, Texas. He serves as Evangelist at Large for Stonebriar Community Church in Frisco, Texas. He serves as adjunct faculty for Dallas Theological Seminary and has written articles published in Kindred Spirit Magazine. Dr. Moyer travels the country and the world evangelizing through outreaches like Operation Friendship, and training church leaders through the You Can Tell It! and You Can Preach It! seminars. He disciples churches through the Flying Strong Mentoring Program in Evangelism. He speaks at pastors conferences, conventions, and Christian camps. He is also the main author of EvanTell publications including articles, books, and tracts. Dr. Moyer serves Vice President on the Executive Council of Free Grace Alliance.

Dr. Joseph Parle

Joseph Parle, the husband of Suzan Parle, serves as Academic Dean and Assistant Professor at the College of Biblical Studies in Houston, Texas. He received a BA in Political Science and Spanish from the University of Houston (U of H) in May of 1996. In August of 2002, Joseph completed a Masters of Arts in Biblical Studies (MABS) at Dallas Theological Seminary. In the fall of 2004, Joseph began work for a Ph.D. in Bible Exposition at Baptist Bible Seminary in Clark Summit Pennsylvania and as part of the program he has earned a Masters in Theology (Th.M.) in Systematic Theology. Prior to working at CBS, Joseph worked in the United States Congress, the Texas Senate, Chase Manhattan Bank. In addition to his administrative and teaching responsibilities. He currently has a daily program on KETH Channel 14 entitled "We Speak Ingles y Espanol" which teaches English as a Second Language from a biblical, historical and cultural perspective.

Dr. Jay Quine

Dr. Quine enjoyed the practice of law for several years as a prosecuting attorney and municipal court judge while teaching Business Law and maintaining a private practice. He served as a pastor for 16 years in Texas, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, as the Chair of the Master of Divinity Program, and Dean of the College of Biblical Studies at Philadelphia Biblical University before becoming a Professor of Bible Exposition at Dallas Theological Seminary and Adjunct Professor of Bible Exposition at Grace School of Theology. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Free Grace Alliance (www.freegracealliance.org). Published and honored on multiple levels and in many arenas, he is considered to be a voice of legal authority on issues involving church and para-church Christian institutions.

Greg Sapaugh

Adjunct Professor of New Testament Studies

Mr. Sapaugh teaches as adjunct faculty for the College of Biblical Studies in Houston, Texas. He was the senior pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Starkville, Mississippi, from 1991 to 1992, and he has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Grace Evangelical Society. He has taught New Testament Greek at Grace Bible Church in College Station. He is a prolific writer on the issue of free grace and has been published in a variety of theological journals.

John Scholl

John Scholl is a candidate for a Ph.D. in History at the University of California in Santa Barbara. He is currently working on his dissertation, entitled Religious Life in Fourteenth Century Piedmont. It will analyze the religious choices of Catholic and non-Catholic Christians in Northern Italy during the second half of the 1300s. John won a Fulbright grant for the school year of 2008-9; he and his wife lived in Turin, Italy for a year while he did research for his dissertation. He received a B.A. in History from Texas A&M University and an M.A. in History, specializing in Medieval History, from Western Michigan University. Before graduate school, John spent two years teaching Geography, Government, and Economics at Cypress Springs High School in Cypress, Texas. John and his wife, Lindsey (a Ph.D. candidate studying Early Christianity), are living in Hempstead, Texas while they write their dissertations.

Robert M. Thayer

Adjunct Professor of Pastoral Ministries

A graduate from DTS, Bob has been serving as the pastor of Odessa Bible Church in Odessa, TX since 2002. He earned a B.A. in pastoral ministries from San Diego Christian College. He has served as a Youth Pastor, an Associate Pastor and Minister of Outreach at Parkway Hills Baptist Church and Director of Operations at NeedHim where he trained volunteers to communicate the Gospel to nearly 200 callers each day. In addition to his teaching responsibilities at Odessa Bible, he teaches God's Word to over 150 kids each week in after school programs throughout Odessa. He has conducted church health seminars, traveled to Uganda to lead a pastor's conference as well as teach in dozens of schools. He and his wife, Melanie, have two children, Brooke and Carson.

Rick Whitmire

Rick Whitmire is president of Go Tell Evangelism, and co-founder & vice president of administrative affairs of Free Grace Seminary in Hampton, Georgia. He is a member of the Free Grace Alliance (FGA), an organization committed to coordinating and connecting the various "free grace" leaders, organizations, and churches in the USA and abroad. He was elected to serve on the executive council of FGA as treasurer for 2008-2009. He has been a pastor, a church-planter, and has conducted seminars on evangelism and discipleship in churches, schools, Bible colleges, and seminaries. He resides in McDonough, Georgia with his wife, Kathy. They have five adult children, three sons, two daughters, and seven grandchildren.

Dr. Steven Wright

Dr. Wright has served for thirty years as a pastor in churches ranging from mission status to metro size congregations. His peers have chosen him to serve as President of the Texas Pastors' Conference (SBTC) and the national Pastors' Conference (SBC) as Secretary-Treasurer. He has also served in numerous leadership positions locally, nationally and internationally. He has taught as an adjunct professor for the College of Biblical Studies, Houston (Leadership), Belhaven College, Houston (Worldview) and LoneStar College, Houston (English). He presently teaches English at the secondary level as well as engages in a ministry of preaching and conference speaking. Dr. Wright and his wife, Jan, reside in Katy, Texas. They have three children and two grandchildren.
