Master of Arts in Biblical Studies (MABS) -- 64 Credit Hours

The MABS degree program at GSOT offers graduate-level biblical and theological instruction aimed at providing a solid foundation in the Scriptures. It is designed with a particular focus on equipping those within a broad spectrum of Christian service, such as those in supporting roles within the local church, as well as those within parachurch ministries and mission agencies.

The two year (64 credit hours) MABS degree is uniquely structured to provide a comprehensive overview of each book of the Bible and every major category of systematic theology. With fewer electives and no courses covering the original languages, this degree program is not designed for those seeking preparation for pastoral ministry or other ministries where the primary task is the teaching and preaching of the Scripture. For more information about the MABS degree program at GSOT, including an overview of the MABS degree plan, click here >>>

Master of Divinity (MDiv) -- 94 Credit Hours

The MDiv degree is traditionally the most common seminary degree for equipping those whose desire is to serve the Lord in some type of professional ministry capacity. It is especially common among those seeking preparation for pastoral or classroom ministry, or any other ministry where the primary task is expositing the Word of God. However, anyone whose ministry goals will be furthered by obtaining a firm grasp of the Scriptures, including the original languages, will benefit from a Master of Divinity degree from Grace School of Theology.

At GSOT, the MDiv degree is uniquely structured to balance biblical and theological studies with ministry skills courses that will result not only in increased knowledge of God's Word, but preparation for the common demands of everyday ministry. A balanced core curriculum, in conjunction with a concentration in a variety of electives, makes this three year (94 credit hours) degree customizable to your unique ministry objectives. For more information about the MDiv degree program at GSOT, including an overview of the MDiv degree plan, click here >>>

Master of Theology (ThM) -- 124 Credit Hours

The ThM degree is the highest master's level degree program available for those in professional ministry. Like the MDiv degree program, this program is designed primarily to equip pastors and others whose desire is to serve the Lord in some type of professional ministry capacity. The ThM degree at GSOT builds upon the MDiv by adding thirty additional credit hours of course work. These include: twelve credit hours of biblical languages, six credit hours of Bible exposition courses, six hours of practical ministry courses, three hours of master's thesis work, and three additional elective hours.
